I am a reporter, editor and visual artist based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Since 2000, I have lived and worked in Central Pennsylvania. I work primarily in print, with occasional forays into online audio and video. Besides reporting and editing, I drew local editorial cartoons for the Williamsport Sun-Gazette and the Lancaster Intelligencer Journal (since merged with the Lancaster New Era).

Previously, I lived in Japan for a number of years, teaching English at Simul Academy in Tokyo and Keio Shonan Fujisawa Junior-Senior High School. I grew up outside Pittsburgh and graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in philosophy.

I am a foil and epee fencer, and chairman of the Harrisburg Division of the United States Fencing Association.
